Mrs. J. M. Barr, 77 [sic 71], Dies in C-City

COLORADO CITY (RNS) -- Mrs. J. M. Barr, 71, died Friday at her home here after a few weeks' illness.

She was born March 14, 1892 in Arkansas and came to Colorado City in 1927. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Mrs. Barr was married in DeQueen, Ark.

Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Kiker and Son Chapel here. A. L. Wristen will officiate. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery.

Survivors are her husband; five sons, Floyd and Lloyd, both of Colorado City, Hubert of Big Spring, and Herbert and Robert, both of Hobbs, N.M.; three daughters, Mrs. Carroll Walker and Mrs. J. D. Brown, both of Colorado City, and Mrs. R. C. Alexander of Odessa; four brothers, Fred Golden of Westbrook, Bob Golden of Colorado City, Cliff Golden of Texarkana, Ark., and Walter Golden of Galveston; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Finegar of Hanford, Calif., and Mrs. Laura Clevenger of Colorado City; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
