Clara Mae Smith Waggoner Dobie
Clara Mae Smith Waggoner Dobie was born to James Edgar and Iva Mae Taylor Smith on July 1, 1928 in San Marcos, Texas. She passed into the arms of her Lord April 15, 2017 at the age of 88. She was a devoted homemaker, friend and mentor to many and served as a Reserve Deputy in Blanco County for several years. Clara Mae was a member of the Westover Baptist Church of San Marcos, then after moving to Blanco in the early 1970s she became a member of the Blanco Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother and her first husband, Jack Waggoner, all of San Marcos.
Clara is survived by her husband Bob Wesley Dobie of Blanco, her sister Juanita Smith Jobes of San Marcos, daughter Lynda Lee Waggoner of Austin, grandson Bubba and JoAnn Alexander of Kyle and granddaughter Brandy Alexander Benenate of Austin; daughter Sherry Lynn Fiscus Williamson and husband Buddy (Keith) of Spring Branch, grandsons Chad Fiscus and Teresa of Geronimo and Brant Fiscus of New Braunfels, granddaughters Heather Mae Peterson and Kevin of Whitehall MI and Tammie Linneweber Rader Borchert and Heath of Snyder; one niece and two nephews, eight great grandsons and four great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Sammy's House, Austin, TX in support of Special Needs Children.
Memorial services will be held at Westover Baptist Church on Sunday April 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. Private family interment will be at a later date.
