McLEOD, TX - Graveside services for Clarence Emmons, 83, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at Forest Park West in Shreveport. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Cook pastor of Good Exchange Baptist Church in McLeod, TX. Arrangements under the direction of McGuire Funeral Home, Vivian, La.

Mr. Emmons died July 11, 1994 in North Caddo Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born September 15, 1910 in Pleasant Hill, La. and was a resident of McLeod, TX for 16 years. Mr. Emmons was a retired electrician, a member of the First Baptist Church, Ajax, La. and a 50 year member of IBEW-Local #995 in Baton Rouge, La.

He is survived by his wife, Effie E. Emmons of McLeod, TX; one son, E. D. “Sonny” Emmons of Shreveport; three daughters, Lois Marie Gryder of Vivian, La., Lynette Pevy of Minden, La.; and Linda McClung of Baton Rouge, La.; two sons, Jewel Cooper of Bossier City, La. and Bessie Dickerson of Homer, La.; one brother, Walter Emmons of Vancouver, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
