C. E. Evans Expires In Monroe Hospital

Final services were held for Clarence Eugene Evans, 68, long time resident of Baskin, who passed away in a Monroe hospital Sunday after a long illness, in the First National Funeral Home chapel at 10 o'clock Monday morning with the Rev. J. L. Johnson, pastor of the Baskin Baptist church, assisted by the Rev. James McNair, Jonesville, officiating. Interment followed in the Coax cemetery.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rose Mae Brownell, Clarks; two sisters, Mrs. J. S. Shipman and Mrs. Delia Summers, both of Baskin, and two brothers, Albert A. Evans, Winnsboro, and Joe S. Evans, Baskin.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Evans, Louis Evans, J. T. Evans, Theodore Evans, I. J. Wiggins and J. C. Wiggins.
