SHELOR, CLARENCE G.

SHELOR, Clarence G., 78, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000. Born in Blacksburg, Va. on February 9, 1922, a son of the late Dottie Graves Shelor and E. P. Shelor, he was a retired Chief Warrant Officer veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in WW II and the Korean Conflict, a member of the Arkansas Nature Conservancy and was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving are his wife, Dixie L. Shelor of Hot Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Colonel Dan and Adri Shelor of Yorktown, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Joyce Shelor of Hot Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Fritz Washburn of Burnsville, Minnesota; brothers, Arnold Shelor and Conley Shelor, both of Blacksburg, Va.; sister, Marie Henderson of Blacksburg, Va.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 1, 2000 at the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Gotcher officiating. Pallbearers were members of V.F.W. Post 2278 Honor Guard. Military honors were also by the V.F.W. Post 2278. Burial was at Crestview Memorial Park.
