C. T. [sic C. P.] Jones Rites Slated
Funeral services for Clarence T. [sic P.] Jones, 81, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Catchings Chapel.
Mr. Jones, a retired Illinois Central Gulf Railroad employee, died Thursday at his residence on Route 1, Summit.
Born March 10, 1897, he was a native of Pike County. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Godbold Jones; one son, Clifford P. Jones of Summit; two brothers, Richard L. “Casey” Jones of McComb, Arthur J. Jones of Baton Rouge, La.; one sister, Miss Villie [sic Vallie] Jones of Baton Rouge and three grandchildren.
The Rev. Jimmy McGee and the Rev. Riley Burton will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with Catchings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
