Dr. C.F. Jr., 57, of 518 NW 14th. Dr. Foster died Sunday in his home following an extended illness. Thousands of his former patients mourn his passing. Services 11 A.M. Wednesday, St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call for visitation at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. Tuesday.
Dr. Foster was born July 11, 1924 in Oklahoma City, & was married here to Janeal Villet March 8, 1947. A graduate of Classen High School, he studied pre-med at Oklahoma City University and Stanford University. Dr. Foster was graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 1948 and served his internship at St. Anthony's Hospital here. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and served as a Navy doctor in 1949 and 1950. In 1952 he served with the U.S. Marine Medical Corp in Japan. Dr. Foster began his practice of family medicine in Capitol Hill July 1, 1950. During his medical career, he delivered more than 3,000 babies, and served on the teaching staff of St. Anthony's hospital. Dr. Foster was listed in Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and was a member of the Oklahoma County Medical Association, the Oklahoma Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Practice, and the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral.
Survivors include his wife Janeal of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Louise) O'Nan and Mrs. Dean (Diane) Stephens, both of Okla. City, Mrs. Dennis (Gloria) Lane of Lawton, and Mrs. Carlos (Suzette) Russo of Abbeville, La., a brother, Charles B. Foster of Yorba Linda, Calif.; five grandsons: Alan, Scott, and Ryan Lang, all of Lawton, Emilio and Carlos Franklin Russo, both of Abbeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Hospital or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-Cancer Research.
