C. V. YOUNG

BENSON -- Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 o'clock for C. V. Young, 61, at the graveside in the family cemetery, with the Rev. Forrest L. Young of the Benson Baptist church in charge.

Mr. Young, familiarly known as ``Governor'', was a son of the late David and Mary Lou Young and is survived by his wife and the following children: Miss Cleo Young, Rudyard, Roscoe and Jefferson Young, all of Fayetteville; Jethro of Fort Bragg; Mrs. Thelma Benson and Mrs. Mabel Mills, both of Benson; a sister, Mrs. Ella Blackman of Bentonville; and several grandchildren. His wife was the former Mary Barefoot of Fayetteville. The family cemetery is located in the Peacock crossing section.
