Claude Roberts

GRAYSON -- Funeral services for Claude W. Roberts, 68, of Rt. 2, Grayson, were at 2 p.m. today at the Old Hebron Baptist Church here with the Rev. James Simons and the Rev. Larry Adkins officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of the Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Roberts died Tuesday night at his residence after a long illness.

A retired Louisiana Highway Department employe, Mr. Roberts was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Beulah Roberts, Grayson; two sons, Loyd Roberts, Alexandria, Ark. and Merlon Roberts, Minden; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Gaylor, Columbia; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Roberts, Grayson; two brothers, LaVerne Roberts, Pineville and Orval Roberts, Grayson; two sisters, Mrs. Audie Mayes, Grayson and Mrs. Floyce Childress, Kelly and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ezra Russell, Jack Sypert, Wilson Gordy, Wilson Grant, Sonny Duke, Wayne Hendrixson and John Parker.
