Funeral services for Claudia Lindsey Cook will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2006, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Sammy Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Williana.
Mrs. Cook, 85, of Pineville, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church in Pineville and owner and operator of Cook's Ceramic Shop in Urania where she lived for many years before moving to Pineville. She was an avid bowler and was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Urania. Mrs. Cook was a past president of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malvin Cook, parents, Whitfield Nathaniel and Clarisee Viola Arender Lindsey. Two brothers, Mac Henry Lindsey and Amos Ozell Lindsey, and one sister, Cleo Lindsey Taylor.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Barbara and husband, Armon Buckelew of Sun Lakes, Arizona and Tamera and husband, Marty Bryan of Pineville. Four granddaughters, Suzanne and husband, Mark Blake of Greencastle, Indiana, Lisa and husband, Sean Summers of Chandler, Arizona, Courtney Carnahan and Lacey Bryan both of Pineville. Five great grandchildren, Lindsey Noelle Briones of Brooklyn, New York, Whitney Suzanne Briones , Michael Blake both of Greencastle, Indiana, Gage Buckley Summers, Scarlet Estelle Summers both of Chandler, Arizona and Tabitha Blake of Louisville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, Sunday, August 6, 2006 from 12 p.m. until time of service.
