1921-2005

GILMER -- Services for Claudis D. Medlin, 84, of Gilmer, will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church with Don Puckett and Don Points officiating.

Burial will follow at Old East Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County.

Mr. Medlin died Wednesday, Dec. 7, in Gilmer.

He was born June 17, 1921, in Gilmer, to John Wesley and Lela Gammage Medlin. He was a lifetime resident of Gilmer and he worked in the oilfield as a roughneck.

He is survived by two sons, Charles D. Medlin of East Mountain and Gary Medlin of Gladewater; a brother, Doug Medlin of Rhonesboro; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Danny Medlin, Michael Medlin, Timothy Medlin, Chris Medlin, Aaron Medlin, and Josh Holland.
