CLAY PHILLIPS EVANS

FOREST -- Services for Clay Phillips Evans, 68, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Salem Baptist Church with interment in Salem Cemetery.

He died Friday at his home in Scott County after a brief illness.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oledia Evey Evans of Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Mike Mouton of Lake and Mrs. James Mangum of Forest; four grandchildren, and one brother, Walter Curtis Evans of Clinton.

Our deepest sympathy goes to Mrs. Clay Evans and two daughters, Mrs. Mike Mouton of Lake and Mrs. James Mangum of Forest in the death of her husband and father, Mr. Clay Evans, who died so suddenly last Friday evening. Mr. Evans was a citizen of Good Hope community and a farmer. He was a member of Salem Baptist church. He had many friends. The body lay in the funeral home until time for the funeral at Salem church that was held Sunday evening at 2:00 and burial was in the Salem cemetery. May the Lord bless them in their sad hours of sorrow.
