Clayton Dewitt Smith, 93, born August 15, 1912 in Sikes, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2005 in McKinney, Tx. Clayton was a resident of Nederland for 57 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtis Loy Smith; grandson, Craig David Morgan and granddaughter, Jeanna Head.
Clayton is survived by his son, David Harley Moser of Houston; daughter, Murlene Alvarez of Beaumont; grandchildren, Joleen Morgan, Joseph Morgan, Jr., Clay Morgan, Trisha McClain, Lara Alvarez, Mark Moser, Debbie Moser, Julie Head, Harley Moser and Thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Pat A. Riley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Morgan, Clay Morgan, Keith McClain, Dustin Smith, Tim Morgan and Butch McClain.
