PHILLIPS, Clemmer Francis
POLKVILLE, MS -- Services for Mrs. Clemmer Francis Phillips, 92, of Morton, Mississippi, were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 1999 at the Polkville Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Barron Price and the Rev. A. M. LaPrairie officiating. Buriel followed in the Piney Grove Cemetery in Polkville under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Homes of Forest, Mississippi.
Mrs. Phillips died Sunday, February 7, 1999, at the Mississippi Care Center of Morton following an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Polkville community. She was a member of the Polkville Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include five sons - A. L. Phillips of Morton, MS, O. J. Phillips of Jackson, MS, Earl Phillips, Henry Phillips and Cecil Phillips, all of Polkville, MS; three brothers - Bill Hales of Shreveport, LA, Waymond Hales of Archibald, LA, and X. V. Hales of Archibald, LA, five sisters - Ruby Free and Audrey Byargeon, both of Rayville, LA, Laverne Hales of Monroe, LA, and Dianne Free of Atlanta, GA, and Laura Ann Free of Archibald, LA; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Jim Ray, Howard Stuart, Jimmy Phillips, Elvin Dilmore, J. T. McKennon and David Cook.
