Mrs. A. T. Bell Services Monday Near Lake Village

LAKE VILLAGE -- Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Bellaire Baptist Church near Lake Village for Mrs. A. T. Bell, 74, who died Sunday in the Lake Village Infirmary following a long illness. The Rev. Henry Evans officiated and burial was in the Lake Village Cemetery by Downey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bell, the former Mary Clemmie Minyard, was born at Carrollton, Miss. After her marriage to Mr. Bell, the family lived in Grenada, Miss., until 1929 when they moved to Lake Village where Mr. Bell was manager of Yellow Bayou Plantation here for a number of years and later owned and operated a plantation at Macon Lake. He died in 1944.

Mrs. Bell was a member of the Bellaire Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H. T. Hunter of Lake Village, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. H. O. Hunter of Lake Village; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Kent of Greenville and Mrs. Annie D. Patterson of Charleston, Miss., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
