CLEVE HANEY
1910-1994

Funeral services for Mr. Cleve Haney, 84, of Longview, formerly of Carthage, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 1994 at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Joe McGraw and Rev. Thomas Ayers officiated. Interment followed in the Antioch Cemetery. Mr. Haney died Thursday, Aug. 18 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.

Born on April 7, 1910 in Panola County, he was the son of Jack and Claudia Spradley Haney. Mr. Haney had lived in Longview six years, moving there from Carthage. He was employed by Panola County Road & Bridge as a truck driver before his retirement in 1983, and was a member of the Ware Acres Baptist Church in Longview. On Aug. 26, 1928 he married Winnie Pearl Carter in the Galloway Community.

Mr. Haney is survived by his wife, Mrs. Winnie Haney of Longview; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Margaret Haney, and Jack and Charolette Haney, all of Longview; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Harvey McDaniel of Carthage, and Betty Sue and Joe Hudman of Longview; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren.
