Liberty Man's Rites Scheduled
MEADVILLE -- Funeral services for Clinton Freeman, 48, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Freeman, an employe of the International Paper Co. in Natchez and a farmer, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday enroute to Franklin Memorial Hospital following a sudden attack of illness.
Born Jan. 26, 1922 in Amite County, he was a resident of Rt. 3, Liberty at the time of his death.
He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, of the Liberty Masonic Lodge and a veteran of World War II where he served in the Coast Guard.
He was the son of the late Alvie Lee and Ammie Bell Whittington Freeman.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Roberts Freeman; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Calcote, Meadville; Mrs. Dannye Smith, Monroe, La. and Miss Wanda Kay Freeman, Liberty; one son, Wendell Lynn Freeman, Liberty and one grandchild.
Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
