OWENS, CLINTON, 90, passed away July 11, 2004 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born October 11, 1913 in Bingen, Arkansas. Mr. Owens was a resident of the Carrollton area and a member of the First United Methodist Church for 42 years. He had taught at local schools during his career for over 15 years. He was a cherished member of the Dixie Chainers Square Dancing Club for over 20 years.
His parents, J.W. & Dona Owens, and siblings, Bernice, Inez, Lucy, and John all precede him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jessie Owens, daughters: Kathleen and husband, Ed; Margaret, and husband, Kenneth; Grandchildren: Michael and wife, Jodi; Stephen and wife, Tracey; Melinda and husband, Tom; Kim and husband, Jim; Great-grandchildren: Katie, Laurie, Tyler, Cody, Alyssa, Nathan, and Sydney; sisters: Lillian, Ruby, and Edna; brothers: Van and Harry; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M., on Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Rhoton Funeral Home.
