Cloyd ``C. J.'' Maddox
Services for Cloyd ``C. J.'' Maddox will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pinevillle with Reverends Huey Tarpley and Barney Durand and Brother Jim Love officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Fishville. Military honors by the Alexandria/Pineville Veterans Honor Guard.
Mr. Maddox, 79, of Pollock died Saturday, May 1, 2004 in Woods Haven, Pollock.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Fishville and was an heavy equipment operator during his working life. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Thomas and Rosa Young Maddox; sister, Mariam Maddox Kees; niece Anna Rose Kees Carmouche.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Frankie Hudson Maddox of Pollock; their faithful companion ``Buffy''; niece, Betty Kees Thompson of Pineville; nephews, Billy Kees of Pollock and Junior Carmouche of Pineville; other nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
Friends may call Monday at Hixson Brothers, Pinevillle from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Michael McLemore, David Branton, Joshua Branton, Jake Morace, Ricky Carmouche, Cody Carmouche, Turner Craig, Raymond Thompson.
