Clyde May
The funeral of Clyde C. May, 67, of Tallulah, was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Tallulah Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Norman Harper officiating. Burial was in Silver [C]ross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home.
Mr. May died Sunday at his residence after a brief illness.
Mr. May was a native of Cotton Plant and a resident of Tallulah for 30 years. He was a retired captain of the state police with 25 years service, a World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion, a deacon of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church, a member of the Louisiana Peace Officers Association, a colonel on former Gov. John J. McKeithen's staff and co-owner of Joyland Day Care Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Y. May of Tallulah; and one brother, Robert Garland May of Monroe.
Pallbearers were John May, Douglas May, Kenneth May, Miles May, James May, Ralph May, Dwight May and Ronald May.
