HARRELL -- Clyde Wright, 77, of Harrell, died Monday at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center at Little Rock.
He was born Aug. 19, 1927, at Moro Bay, a son of the late Ford Wright and Lola Viola Slaughter Wright.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was a retired gravel plant operator for St. Francis and Meridian Gravel Co. He was also a former janitor for Calhoun County Courthouse.
He was a member and deacon of Dickerson Missionary Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Wright; and two sisters, Clydean Wright and Adalee Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Burks Wright, whom he married in June 1955; two brothers, Floyd Wright of Norphlet and Ray Wright of Hampton; and one sister, Jeanette Duncan of Hampton.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Dickerson Missionary Baptist Church near Hampton. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery near Locust Bayou by Frazer's Funeral Home at Warren.
