Clyde W. McConathy
Clyde W. McConathy, 79, of 132 Jordan died at 10:05 a.m. Sunday in Louisiana Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services are set for 11:30 a.m. today in the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanford Parnell, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston.
Mr. McConathy, a native of Simsboro, had lived in Shreveport for 60 years. The retired salesman for Lee Dry Goods was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia G. McConathy of Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. James Weyland of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Cecil Atkins of Homer; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Stoer Jr., C. H. Thurmond, J. Herman Brown, J. D. Wimberly, John W. Paylor Jr., Luther B. Harrison, Henderson Winham and W. F. Hall.
