Rev. Coley Sampson Arender, 71, of Harrisville died Wednesday, February 17, 1988 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. The Simpson County native was a member of Mt. Olive Methodist in Ovett, Ms.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 1988 at Magee Colonial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. David Patrick and Rev. Evon Ingram officiating. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements and burial was at Antioch Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Lou Arender; son, Ronny Arender of California; three daughters, Peggy Lou Blackwell of Texas, Leslie Mitchell of Brookhaven, and Ellen Dossett of Jackson; two brothers, Hulon Arender of Raleigh and Hershel Arender of Rogersville, Mo.; six sisters, Merble Dukes of Magee, Ora Cook of Brandon, Ruth Craft of Magee, Charlotte Runnels of Jackson, Camille Richter of Jackson, and Maxine Chilsom of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
