Colleen Joy Williams, 82, of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Dr. Stan Cosby officiating.
Mrs. Williams was born in Hollis, Okla., to Charley and Letha Crow. She attended Ron High School in Hollis, Okla.
Colleen was a country girl who loved animals and country living until she moved in the city. She worked at the Amarillo Air Force Base until it was closed, and then worked at Montgomery Wards until it was closed. Mrs. Williams finished her work career helping others at Catholic Family Services.
Colleen was a great mother and grandma and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, and a son, Gary Olson.
Survivors include two sons, Rocky Williams and wife Debra and Danny Olson and wife Tawana; a daughter, Kaye Adkins husband Herb; two sisters, Nell Merida and Judy Crock; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Greg, Brian, Amanda, Andrea, Savannah and Timothy; and six great-grandchildren, Lesli, Chris, Blaine, Zane, Reagan and Alexis.
The family suggests memorials be to St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 4600 S. Western St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
