C. C. McCarty

C. C. McCarty, 77, of Winnsboro, who died unexpectedly at his home last Thursday morning, was interred Friday afternoon in Providence Memorial Park, near here, following funeral rites at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Clarence Young officiated at the services, and the Winnsboro Masonic Lodge conducted a graveside ritual.

Mr. McCarty, a retired postal clerk, was a First Baptist Church deacon, a member of the Winnsboro Masonic Lodge and of the Woodmen of the World.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Earie Mayes McCarty, Winnsboro; two sons, Dana G. McCarty, Houston, Tex., and Delton McCarty, Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Buchan, Crowville; four granddaughters and a grandson.
