Connie W. Watts

Connie W. Watts, 75, of Nederland, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Christus Hospital, St. Mary, Port Arthur. He was born September 4, 1938, to Helen and Alfred Buniors Watts in Eros, Louisiana, and had been a lifetime resident of the Mid-County area. Connie was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean era. He retired from Hunstman Chemical after working for thirty-two years as an electrician. Connie was a member of the American Legion, Post #493 and F.O.E. #3743, both of Nederland.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Watts and his wife, Sandy, of Bridge City; daughter, Shawna Sidatt and her husband, Sidi; of Mauritania, Africa; grandchildren, Tristen and Cayden Watts and Moustapha Benjamin and Elora Farha Sidatt; and brother, Clarence Watts of Texas.

Connie is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Watts' family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

A private family committal will be held at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont.
