Mrs. Cora Coleman

88, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the Briar Hill Rest Home in Florence. Visitation is today after 12 noon at Lakewood Funeral Home, suite services are 2 pm with interment following in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Coleman was born in Forest, MS in 1920, her parents were the late William Coulter and Maggie Arender Coulter. She was formerly a longtime resident of Jackson and a member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Mrs. Coleman was a loving wife, mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George Richard Coleman.

She leaves behind her daughter, Joan Coleman Benton and husband, Butch of Florence; her beloved grandson, Chris Benton and wife, Elisha and; her great-grandchild, Cameron.

The family would like to give thanks to the Briar Hill Rest Home staff for the love and care given to Mrs. Coleman over the years, especially to Rosemary Dixon and Marilyn Frazier.
