Last Rites Conducted For Mrs. Cora Dark Sunday at Boeuf River

Mrs. Cora Jones Dark, succumbed, after a long illness, Saturday afternoon at a Monroe hospital. She was 70 years of age. Funeral rites and burial services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Boeuf River Baptist church and the Ogden cemetery with the Rev. Tom Ratcliff, assisted by the Rev. J. H. Hamilton of Ferriday, officiating.

Mrs. Dark is survived by her husband, two sons, six daugh-mediate [sic] (daughters in her immediate) family. The husband is R. L. Dark, Winnsboro; sons, P. L. Dark, Winnsboro, and Carl M. Dark, Columbia; daughters, Mrs. W. L. Simon and Mrs. Della Ross of Ft. Necessity, Mrs. G. R. Knight of Tuscon, Ariz., Mrs. S. C. Ferguson of Clayton, Mrs. D. C. McGraw of Shreveport and Mrs. L. H. Young of Ferriday; brothers, A. M. Jones, Houston, Tex., and R. D. Jones, Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Daniel G. Ross, Charles Ray Hargrove, S. C. Ferguson, Jr., Roy C. Simon, ? B. Simon, and Bill Kemper.

Funeral direction was by First National Funeral home of Winnsboro.
