Mrs. Cora Swenson
Funeral rites for Mrs. Cora Swenson, 49, of Sartoria, who died in Lincoln, were to be conducted by the Rev. Paul Calhoun of the Kearney Christian church at 2 p.m. today.
Cora Mae, daughter of Jerry and Julia Elizabeth Moulton Ferrel, was born at Hay Springs, Nebraska on December 25, 1893. She died Saturday following an operation from which she failed to rally.
The Ferrel family moved to Ada County, Idaho where Cora, a stenographer, married John F. Swenson on 16 December 1920. After she and John married, they lived in Arnold, Nebraska where John had a position in the bank. The family returned to the ranch after the death of John's father. She has since lived on the family ranch at Sartoria, Nebraska.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Coralie, a student at Nebraska Wesleyan, Lincoln; her mother, Julia Ferrel of Boise, Idaho; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth (Carroll) Dewey of Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Zelma (Jack) Evans of Weisner, Idaho; Mrs. Ina (Chester) Rankin of Boise, Idaho; and Mrs. Gladys Lewis; and one brother, Lyle of San Francisco, Calif.
Pallbearers were to be Dr. R. M. Gilmore, Arthur and Robert Hunter, Vincent Glatter, Harold Arp and Lloyd Beltz.
