Coralie Swenson Metzler
Services for Coralie S. Swenson Metzler, 65, of Bartlesville, Okla., who died Monday, December 8, 1986, in Bartlesville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Bartlesville. The Rev. Brian Packer and Deacon Patrick Roark will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville.
A memorial has been established at the St. Luke's Lunch Stop Program in Bartlesville. Neekamp Funeral Home in Bartlesville is in charge of arrangements.
She was born October 4, 1921, in Arnold, Nebraska to John and Cora Ferrell Swenson Jr. The family moved to a ranch in Buffalo County near Sartoria, Nebraska in 1924. She graduated from Kearney High School and atended Kearney State College in Nebraska before receiving a bachelor of science degree in biomedical services from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. She completed her internship as a graduate medical technician at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. In 1945, she married Ronald L. Metzler. They moved to Bartlesville in 1948. She was a member of St. Luke's episcopal Church.
Survivors are her husband and daughter Julie Higginbotham of Edmond, Oklahoma.
