Costaline Lee

HEREFORD -- Costaline Lee, 85, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Rest Lawn Memorial Park, north of Hereford. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. O.K. Bowen officiating. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lee was born the daughter of W. M. and Minne Hackney Griffee on Oct. 24, 1919, near Gatesville in Coryell County. She married Otis Lee on March 4, 1939, in Abilene and moved to Hereford on their honeymoon, where she had lived since. Costaline was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in all activities, especially the W.M.U.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gladys Merritt and husband, G.C., of Hereford; three grandchildren, Micki Baulch and husband, David, of Odessa, Mitch Merritt of Amarillo and Missy Wilcox and husband, Scott, of Hereford; a brother, Austin Griffee of Shawnee, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church Kindergarten, 500 N. Main St., Hereford, TX 79045 or to Samaritan Hospice of Kings Manor Retirement Center, 400 Ranger Drive, Hereford, TX 79045.
