Coy Brady Schofield

Our loving husband and father, Coy Brady Schofield passed on to a better place on February 23, 2001. He was born January 11, 1917 in Manassa Colorado to Joseph and Minnie Scholfield [sic Schofield]. Later moved to Salt Lake City, where he worked for Western Electric and retired from Mountain Bell in 1980 after 40 years of service.Married Elizabeth Erna Prahl on February 16, 1940; deceased August 5, 1976. Married Darhl Carter January 11, 1979. Coy served in World War II, and received honorable discharge, went on to be active member in the American Legion, 49ers Club, and the Telephone Pioneers.

Our loving and caring husband and father is survived by his wife Darhl; and his seven children Ronald (Betty), Nancy (Richard) Scott, Robert (Denise), Kathy Weber, Dennis, Dean (SherAnn), and Cheryl (Terry) Devlin; his three stepchildren Jerry Carter, Joyce Thayer (deceased) and Jeannie (Boone) Peterson; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Brothers Maurice, and Alvin (deceased). In the 84 years Coy was with us, he touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2001, 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. Friends may call Monday evening 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at Redwood Memorial Estates.
