Services for Mr. Coy McKinley Anderson, 81, of the Woods Community were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bruce Will officiated. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery in Panola County. Mr. Anderson died Sunday, October 21, at his residence.
Born July 8, 1909 in Houston County (Grapeland), he was the son of Victor and Linnie Anderson. He was a retired operator with Lone Star Gas Company and had been a resident of Panola County since 1951, coming from Grapeland. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Amy McDaniel Anderson of the Woods Community; three sons, Carl Campbell of Arlington, Gene Campbell of Beckville and Jake Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Gloria Davis of the Woods Community; one sister, Edna Owens of Bronte; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mark Anderson, Mike Anderson, David Coleman, Mark Coleman, Rayburn Green, Jimmy Jones and Andrew McDaniel.
