Hawthorne

Seagoville, Tex., April 18. -- C. C. Hawthorne, aged 74 years, died at the family residence in this place, at 2 o'clock today, after an illness of five days. Mr. Hawthorne had been a resident of this community for forty years, coming here from Louisiana and settling near this town.

He was a successful farmer and stockraiser and a good citizen. He is survived by two sons, W. A. and R. C., and four daughters, Mesdames J. L. Ard, R. F. McClurg, and C. F. Hellan of Seagoville, and Mrs. W. J. Harris of Dallas. The interment will be tomorrow in Lee Cemetery.
