CURTIS E. SHOEMAKER
Curtis E. Shoemaker, 81, of Laurel, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Nelson Crozier will officiate.
He was retired from Transcontinental Gas in Sandersville and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Jones County.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Portia Sims, and one brother, Robert E. Shoemaker.
He is survived by his wife, Winnie Shoemaker of Laurel; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Becky Shoemaker of Laurel; one daughter, Andrea Steven of Laurel; three brothers, Dewitt Shoemaker, Austin Shoemaker and Hilman Shoemaker, all of Laurel; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
