CURTIS JONES

Curtis Jones, 70, died Monday at a Fort Worth hospital.

Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Roscoe Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.

He was born in Windfield [sic Winnfield], La., and was a longtime Roscoe resident.

He was a carpenter and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Terry Jones of Alvarado; four sisters, Annie Lee Barker of Odessa, Jannie Helmes [sicJanie Helms] of Harlingen, and Pauline Carpenter and Zelma Carpenter, both of Windfield [sic Winnfield], La.; and a grandchild.

Curtis Jones

FORT WORTH -- Services for Curtis Walter Jones, 69, of Fort Worth were held Tuesday at Guardian Funeral Home with the Rev. Gaylan Henry officiating.

Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, Roscoe.

Mr. Jones died Monday in Fort Worth. He was born April 16, 1917, in Winnfield, La. He married Hazel Vibbard June 1, 1928, in Roscoe. She died Dec. 28, 1983.

He had lived in Odessa for three years and was a carpenter. He was a member of West Odessa First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Terry W. Jones of Alvarado; four sisters, Annie Lea Barker of Odessa, Pauline and Zelma Carpenter, both of Winnfield, La., and Janie Mae Helms of Harlingen; three brothers, James Lawson Jones of Winnfield, La., E.D. Jones and John Jones, both of Kilgore, and one grandchild.
