Grisham Funeral Conducted Today At Family Home

Final rites for Mrs. Daisy Emerson Grisham, widow of the late O. M. Grisham, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grisham residence, 1908 Riverside, with the Rev. J. T. Horton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Monroe officiating. Mrs. Grisham was 86.

Interment, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe, was slated for the family cemetery at Winnfield at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Grisham died in a local hospital about 11 a.m. Tuesday.

She had been active in the First Baptist Church, local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Colonial Dames. She was a life member of the Monroe Garden Club.

A native of Ripley, Tenn., Mrs. Grisham and her husband moved to Louisiana about 1900 and to Monroe in 1916.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. O. R. Lewis and Mrs. Thomas W. Leigh, both of Monroe; four grandchildren, Mrs. Armand McHenry, Jr. of Monroe, Grisham Lewis of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Richard A. Faust and Mrs. David R. Norman, both of New Orleans; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were W. E. Leigh, John Theus, Ronald Lee Davis, Jr., R. D. Kellogg, Walter Kellogg, James W. Moore.
