Mrs. Daisy Jones dies; final services held today

Services for Mrs. Daisy Jones, 70, were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Cox Funeral Home chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Charles Gaston officiating.

Interment followed in Forest Corner cemetery near Oak Grove for Mrs. Jones who died Sunday in Richland Parish Hospital, Rayville, after a long illness.

Survivors include a son, Charlie Curry, of Pioneer; two daughters, Mrs. Lillie McLain and Mrs. Alice Guice, both of Oak Grove; two brothers, Leonard Hawthorne, of Shreveport, and Jessie Hawthorne, of Lake Providence; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Posey, of Monroe and Mrs. Ella Stampley, of Rayville; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Wayne Curry, Roger Curry, Michael Curry, Jessie McLain, Frankie McLain, Mike McLain and Doyle Guice.
