Dallas Dewey Peters

Services for Dallas Dewey Peters age 81 of Grapeland will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Felders Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Randy Shipman officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster funeral Home Chapel, Grapeland.

Mr. Peters died Monday at Hospice Home Place in Tyler. He was born January 26, 1927 to Earl Dewey and Mary Boyette Peters. Mr. Peters was a welder and belonged to the Welders Union Local 211. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Melba Peters, Hilda Peters, and Elouise Hackler, and a brother, Earl Peters.

He is survived by his wife Eva Peters of Grapeland, his first wife Betty Ivey Peters, three sisters Edith Tuberville of Ft. Worth, Margie Martin of Bossier City, LA, Norvelle [sic Norval] Hood Spring Hill, LA., and one brother James Peters of Baton Rouge, LA.

Condolence calls will be received, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel, Grapeland.

Dallas Dewey Peters

GRAPELAND -- Services for Dallas Dewey Peters, 81, Grapeland, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Felders Chapel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Randy Shipman officiating.

Burial will be in Davis Cemetery under direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Chapel, Grapeland.

Mr. Peters died April 21, 2008, at a Tyler hospice.

He was born Jan. 26, 1927, to the late Earl Dewey and Mary Boyette Peters. He served in the Army during World War II and was a welder and member of Welders Union Local 211.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Peters, Grapeland; sisters, Edith Tuberville, Fort Worth, Margie Martin, Bossier City, La., and Norvelle [sic Norval] Hood, Spring Hill, La., and brother James Peters, Baton Rouge, La.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey & Foster chapel in Grapeland.
