Funeral services for Damon Lowe, 62, will be Monday, February 8, 2010, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Rev Tom Lowe and Rev. Steve Beasley will officiate. Interment will be at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens, 8729 Cypress Street, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Mr. Lowe was born March 29, 1947, in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana and passed away February 5, 2010, in West Monroe. He was the owner of D'Arbonne Dental Lab since 1981, served in the United States Army for 14 years and was a Vietnam Veteran, and was awarded the Bronze Star metal in October, 1969, and an honorable discharge in May, 1980. He enjoyed horse riding, trail riding, and his grandkids and teaching them about horses. He was a hard worker that enjoyed working in the lab, kind hearted who always gave to others, and a Christian man who loved God with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Millard C. Lowe, his paternal grandmother, Alice Weeks, and his maternal grandmother, Alice Nelson.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Vivian White Lowe; his children, Christy Lowe Saxon and husband, Rig of Calhoun and Jessica Lowe of West Monroe; grandchildren, Cheyenne Masters, Savanna Barkley, and Conner Watkins; mother, Margie Lowe of West Monroe; sisters, Mackie Cassels and husband, Charlie of Columbia, Wanda Lowe of Longview, TX, and Diane Ezell of West Monroe; brothers Darrel Lowe and wife, Gail of Farmerville and Dwayne Lowe and wife, Ann of West Monroe; mother-in-law Jessie Marie Whelan and husband, John of Calhoun; brother-in-law B. J. White and wife, Carol of Gretna, LA; sister-in-law Judy Fuller and husband, Jerry of Monroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Chad Clark, Brad Clark, Earl Nelson, Wayne Seidenspinner, Wesley Lowe, and Brad Lowe.
Honorary pallbearers are John Bailey, Bud Womack, and Carlos Clark.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2010, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
