Dan L. Hernandez Sr.

DAN L. HERNANDEZ, SR., 79, born August 1, 1929, in Bogalusa, LA. passed away November 16, 2008, in Houston, TX. He served in the Army for 25 years as Sergant First Class, was a member of Masonic Lodges East Houston and Woodland, and S. Houston Eastern Star Chapter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Hernandez; brothers, John and Jerry Henandez; son, Charles Hernandez; and granddaughter, Diane Hernandez.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lynn Hernandez; son, Dan L. Hernandez, Jr. and wife Cathy; grandson, Dan L. Hernandez, III; sister, Mary Mansfields and husband Carl; sister-in-laws, Louise and Myrtis Hernandez, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, Tish and Earl Fields.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Rosewood Funeral Home, with a funeral service to be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, November 19, 2008, in the chapel. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
