Dan Miles

BASSFIELD - Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Collins for Dan Miles, 86, of Bassfield, who died Dec. 27, 2008, at Mississippi State Veterans Center in Collins.

Burial will be in Vaiden Cemetery.

Mr. Miles was a retired administrator for U.S. Farmers' Home Administration and member of First Baptist Church of Collins. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, June Upton Miles of Bassfield; two sons, the Rev. Tommy Arinder of Brandon and Greg Bullock of Petal; two daughters, Nina Daley and Laura Fails, both of Bassfield; a brother, E.B. Miles of Kerrville, Texas; a sister, Verice Morris of Eupora; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Collins Building fund.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at the church.

Wade-Nowell Funeral Home in Collins is in charge of arrangements.
