D. F. Burkhalter Sr.

OAKDALE -- Funeral services for D. F. Burkhalter Sr., 84, of Houston, Tex., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rush's Funeral Home in Oakdale.

Mr. Burkhalter died Wednesday morning in a Houston, Tex., hospital after a short illness.

Survivors include two sons, D. F. Burkhalter Jr. of Monroe and Edward Burkhalter of Houston, Tex.; five daughters, Mrs. Troy Trast, Mrs. John Kuti, Mrs. John Norris and Mrs. William Vanderbrink, all of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Fred Siddons of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
