Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Ellis Blakeney, 27, of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Sister Mildred Lenard officiating. Interment to follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens in West Monroe.
Daniel was born March 28, 1979 in Caldwell Parish and died November 3, 2006 in West Monroe. Daniel was employed with Canal Barge Company. The baby of the family, Daniel was very gifted and his favorite pastime was playing the guitar and drums.
Daniel's brother Max Lindsey, his grandfather, Melvin Blakeney, and his grandmother, Eva Massengill, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents, Roger and Myrl Blakeney; his sisters, Sherrill Lindsey and Shonnette Chilton and her husband, Jody; his brother, Joe Lindsey and his wife, Lisa; his grandmother, Violet Blakeney; 8 nieces and nephews, Joesph Lindsey, Allysonn Cheatwood, Amanda Lindsey, Lillyann Gilmore, Sarah Chilton, Tristan Chilton, April Lindsey, and Garrett Chilton; special uncles, Bobby and Harold Foster; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Active pallbearers will be Noah White, Steven Nivens, James Davis, Perry Thomas, Jody Chilton, and Billy Peterson.
The family will receive friends at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe on Monday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.
