Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 1993, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Chapel in Shreveport for Daniel Garth Ross, 67, of Shreveport.
The Rev. Bo Henderson officiated. Interment was at Centuries Memorial Park.
Mr. Ross was a native of Ft. Necessity. He died June 12, 1993, at Schumpert Medical Center after a long illness.
He was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 250, Mansfield, La., and the El Karubah Shrine Temple in Shreveport. He retired after 42 years of service with United Gas Pipeline Company.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Walker Ross of Shreveport; a daughter, Mary E. Hickman and husband, Lewis, of Shreveport; a son, Robert D. Ross and wife, Pam, of Marshall, Texas; two brothers, R. L. Pippins of Forest Hill; and George Ross of Winnsboro; two sisters, Cora Helen Lanier of Crowville, and Jeanette Hood of Victoria, Texas; three grandchildren, Ross and Beth Hickman, both of Shreveport; and Ben Ross of Marshall, Texas.
Pallbearers were Ben Hood, J. C. Epps, Hugh Parkman, Fred Whitsett, Charles Flanagan, Wayne Dillman Jr. and Frank Hollenshead.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Shrine Hopital for Crippled Children.
