Daniel Lee Jackson
Daniel Lee Jackson, 70, of Liberty, died Sept. 10, 2005, at his home, surrounded by his devoted family.
Visitation is 6 to 9 tonight at Brown Funeral Home of Liberty.Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Liberty, with the Rev. Robert Toney, the Rev. Gary Bowlin and the Rev. Keith Zachary officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Church cemetery.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Amite County, to Daniel Webster Jackson and Vada Lee Jackson.
He was a heavy equipment operator and also had a great love for music, especially playing the piano. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Monette Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Janelle Wooley Jackson of Liberty; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lawanda and John Jones of Liberty and Angela Jackson of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Dr. Trinity McKenzie and wife Amy of Tupelo and Crystal Shuemaker and husband Chris of McComb; a step-granddaughter, Karen Gonzalez and husband Jose of Elwood, Ind.; six great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
