ST. LANDRY, La. -- Funeral services were held Sunday for D. M. Emmons, 86, of St. Landry, from the Lone Pine Baptist church. Burial was in Griffin cemetery under direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.

Emmons died Saturday afternoon at the Lecompte clinic.

Survivors include his widow; five sons, C. S. of Cheneyville; W. M. and David of West Monroe, Wallace L. of Franklin and Homer of Bunkie; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Byrd, Mrs. Belle Carpenter and Mrs. Pamella Stewart; one brother, Elizah of Oakdale; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
