Mr. Daniel Monroe Strange

PLAIN DEALING, LA - Graveside services with Military and Masonic rites for Mr. Daniel Monroe Strange, 77, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 1995 at the Plain Dealing Cemetery with Mr. Cecil Hartsell officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the 12th District Department of Louisiana Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard. Arrangements under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Plain Dealing.

Mr. Strange, a native and lifelong resident of Plain Dealing, passed away Monday, January 2, 1995 in Shreveport after a short illness. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a retired trucking contractor, a member of the Wike-Strange VFW Post No. 5099 Plain Dealing, a Mason, a member of the Plain Dealing Masonic Lodge No. 237 F&AM, a Shriner and member of El Karubah Temple.

He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Strange on September 16, 1948 and his wife, Eloise Boyd Strange on April 13, 1994.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Terry Moreland; granddaughter, Jana Matlock; brother-in-law, Willie B. Boyd, Sr. all of Plain Dealing, La.; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Masons will serve as pallbearers.
