Darline Tully Manuel

Darline Tully Manuel, 88, of Fannett, died Saturday, November 27, 2010, at East Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville, Texas.

Darline was born on March 30, 1922, to Roy Stanton Tully and Gertrude Wingate Tully; she was a lifelong resident of Fannett. Darline was a homemaker and loved playing solitaire, doing crossword puzzles and going dancing with her husband Preston. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fannett.

She is preceded in death by her husband of forty- seven years, Preston; brother, L.W. Tully; and sister, Beatrice Tully Carey.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Alexander and her husband John of Jacksonville, Texas; five grandchildren, Chad Cessna of Nederland, Preston Hoyt Cessna of Jacksonville, Julie Cessna Terry and her husband Todd of Jacksonville, Lance Alexander and his wife Stacy of Magnolia, and Mark Alexander and his wife Tiffany of Henderson; seven great-grandchildren, Preston Cody Cessna, Cade Cessna, Adam Cessna, Cullen Cessna, Janzen Terry, Toby Terry, and Kalee Alexander; several nieces and nephews; and her special caregiver for the past two years, Gloria Mackey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. Pallbearers for the service will be Roy Tully, Edward Mack Tully, Dan Wingate, Jimmy Wingate, Arthur Kiker, and Jim Lee; honorary pallbearers are Earl Wayne Callahan, John Jay Callahan, and Eugene Wallace. A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010, with a gathering of her family and friends to follow at Broussard's.
