DARLING MEADOR
Darling Meador, 83, died Wednesday, September 11, 1996, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Indian Springs Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Buddy Keyes and Ken Culpepper will officiate.
He was a life honorary deacon of Indian Springs Baptist Church, retired Masonite employee, former Trustee of Calhoun High School and just a good neighbor.
He is survived by his wife, Elva Bishop Meador; children and children-in-law, Ruthie and G. H. English of Ocean Springs, Annette and Charles Cruise, Garry D. and Mary Jo Meador, and Randy and Diane Meador, all of Laurel; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Willie Meador of Laurel; one sister, Marie M. Tisdale of Lumberton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Kevin Meador, Eric Meador, and Greg English; and grand-sons-in-law, Mitch Bryant, Reggie Broom, Douglas Welch, and Todd Jordan.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and the Deacons of Indian Springs Baptist Church in Laurel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Building Fund of Indian Springs Baptist Church, 500 Indian Springs Church Rd. in Laurel.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
